If you’ve spent enough time on my blog, you know I’m a big fan of cocktails.
I like ‘em classic, spiced, or upgraded with a twist. I prefer them not too sweet, although occasionally they will cost me in calories no less than an almond croissant.
{another one of my guilty pleasures, but we’ll leave that for another post 🙂 }.
When I go out, I appreciate a well concocted cocktail, while at home I prefer to stick to those easily prepared.
This upgraded version of the classic gin and tonic is no exception.
The good thing about a gin and tonic is that the base of the drink is as simple as it gets – gin and tonic. You can add almost anything to this base and it will be delightful.
The classic options are of course lemon and cucumber, but when you’re in the mood to mix it up – a variety of fruits and other herbs can be added.
This cocktail is, without a doubt, my latest and greatest combo. In fact, it is a refreshing summer cocktail, simple to make, and in comparison to most cocktails it is guilt-free {you won’t find an ounce of processed sugar typical to most cocktails}.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I do !
