There is no doubt that we are in the midst of the hottest summer in a long time.
Sunday, which is the worst day of the week to begin with {we work on Sundays…}, received this title today – the hottest day of the year. As if it wasn’t hard enough to start the week, huh? ?
I live in Eilat, so dealing with the heat waves during the summer is a routine matter, but it doesn’t change the fact that I’ve been mentally preparing myself for this day for several days already, since it’s been on the news non-stop – “heat-wave”, “scorching” and many other words that make me panic.
I’m trying to get it out of my system mainly by complaining to my boyfriend {over and over again}, while he tries calming me down by saying “it’s always over 40 degrees {Celsius} here anyway – you won’t feel the difference”… Which is great to hear. Just great.
So I spent the day between the AC at home, to the car’s AC, to the one in the office and back to the one at home – where I plan on spending as much time possible {or at least until reality calls and I’ll have to go back to work of course…}.
The electric company even issued a press release that today broke the records of power consumption, so I guess I’m not the only one…
If there’s one thing that comforts me in this excessive heat, it’s the refreshing summer cocktails you can make in seconds.
The frozen orange Campari cocktail is a must for this summer – I’m already super addicted to it and I have no doubt that the moment you pour yourself a frozen glass of this divine beverage, it’ll turn into your official refreshment this boiling summer!

Walla! {Imagine that in a heavy French accent – this word got stuck in my lexicon since my visit in Belgium}.
Get ready to freshen up 😉
