John Lennon once Said “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans”, and I think there is no better way to describe mine and Daniel’s recent trip to London.

If you follow me on Instagram, you may have come across the story I posted a few days before our flight to London, where I shared my meticulously planned itinerary I put together for the six days we were about to spend in the city. This time, I really outdid myself, allowing my OCD to endlessly burst out of me. The plans were made in detail and I succeeded at perfectly arranging, for each day, everything that I wanted to see and taste.

The excitement was of course at its height, and increased with every tiny change made in the schedule to make it even better. Daniel kept trying to reassure me and explain to me, logically, that there was no point in planning such a precise trip because there would be many things that would spontaneously come up, and that schedule changes would be unavoidable, but even though I knew he was absolutely right I was determined to make the most out of our time in London.

Not until two days into our trip did I decide to give in, and give up the uncompromising devoutness I had held onto, as London has so much to offer that it simply doesn’t make sense to try and see half of what we planned in less than a week. Not if you want to enjoy the trip, anyway.

If you're planning a trip to London, the biggest tip I can give you for now is to let go of wanting to see and do it all on one trip. London is a mega-city, in every sense of the word, and whether you’re into culinary, art and museums, or shopping, there is no end to what you can see and do. I assure you – even if you make no plan whatsoever, you will not be bored for even a second!

In London, we enjoyed perfect summer weather {far from the infamous gray hues} and I couldn’t stop taking pictures {and having my picture taken} and returned from the trip with something like 2,000 photos {not exaggerating…} Of course, I promise to publish detailed guides to London in the near future, but until then, here are the first 20 photos from our trip to the city {by the way, you are more than welcome to watch the special highlight dedicated to London on my Instagram account.}
