Although it doesn’t really seem like this hot summer will end soon, the fashion predictions for the fall and winter of 2016 are already here – and they totally make me want to organize my closet and prepare it for colder days.

The stores are also towards the end of the last season’s sales and the new collections are starting to decorate the shop windows, and this is the exact time to understand which trendy items to adopt this coming fall {and prepare a wish list towards the holidays that are coming up 😉 }.

Out of all the trends that appeared on the fashion runways and were identified by Google as the strongest, I chose the 4 trends I’m going to adopt myself the second the temperature begins to drop.

It’s time for some Web-Window Shopping!

BOMBER JACKETS

I’ll start with THE trend for the upcoming season – the bomber jacket.

So you’re probably wondering what a bomber jacket is and why we’re going to love it this season, right?

The amazing bomber jacket, that was originally invented for American fighter pilots during World War II as a clothing item that’s easy and comfortable to wear and will protect them from strong winds, is the most desirable for this upcoming season.

Its sporty-chic style will make any outfit much cooler – from jeans with a simple t-shirt to romantic dresses, which makes it a super useful item for the cool season.

Oh, and if you missed it – so FYI, the amazing Gigi Hadid started wearing this item a while ago, and that says everything needed about this trend…

FLIRTY BRALETTS

Just because the summer is over doesn’t mean you can’t show some skin 😉

It’s not surprising that one of the hottest summer trends is continuing with us to the next season – after all, when a comfortable item is finally in fashion, it’s very difficult to part from it {just like sneakers}.

If you aren’t familiar with it yet – the bralette isn’t just another bra, but a combination between a lacey bra and a sports bra.

It’s the perfect combination between sexy and comfortable.

This trend blends in perfectly with the layering trend that’s continuing with us from last winter and adding to it a mischievous and playful look.

METALLIC TOUCHES

This fashionable comeback from the 90’s is continuing with us next season, and this time in the fabrics and metallic prints.

Last summer we were able to see this trend, mostly in the shoe department, in stores like TOPSHOP and ZARA, but this coming winter we’ll see a lot more of it.

I love this trend because it’s fun and adds a lot of life into the dullness of the winter; but just like almost every other trend, you shouldn’t overdo it because you really don’t want to leave your house looking like the tin man 😉

VELVET

If we already started discussing fabrics, then prepare yourself for THE fabric of the season – velvet.

Does it remind anyone else about “Clueless”??

Anyway, this is another trend that’s back from the 90’s and 80’s {yes, we always knew that this decade will come back to haunt us…}, and it’s not only in a variety of clothing items, shoes and accessories, but also very popular in interior design.

I personally am very ambivalent to this trend – on the one hand I think that it’s lovely if it’s not overdone, and on the other hand, I get strong chills when I touch it.

I think I’ll have to just settle for the accessories that don’t come in direct contact with my skin 😉
