In honor of the new year, I collaborated with makeup artist, Michal Ofir, and hair designer, Yael Peled, to create a glamorous, trendy and edgy look you can easily adopt for New Year's Eve, or whenever you feel like refreshing your look and getting out of your comfort zone.
The look we created is based on two hot trends this winter :
Copper-colored highlighted eyes, as seen on runways in New York, Milan, Paris and London, blends harmoniously with brown eyes and emphasizes green and blue eyes; And gothic vampire lips, mainly in shades ranging from dark purple to black.
You can choose to adopt only one trend – eyes or lips {to play down the look and adjust it for more of an everyday look}, or combine them for an especially edgy look, like the final look we created here.
Let's start with the eye makeup guide combined with neutral lips, which you can easily adopt with almost any winter outfit.
For this look, Yael chose to put my hair in a careless bun, leaving a thin fishtail braid falling nonchalantly on my shoulder.
BASE
1. Apply moisturizer to your face in circular motions and let it soak in for a few minutes.
2. Use a designated primer for the delicate under-eye skin and apply prepping cream on your lips.
3. Apply primer to reduce pores.
4. Apply a fine layer of foundation with a brush, beauty blender or even with your fingers.
5. Gently contour your face to create a more shapely and narrow face.

EYE MAKEUP
1. Apply MAC’s Pro Longwear Paint Pot eyeshadow in the shade ‘Perky’ on the entire eye and the lower lashes line.
2. On top of it, and below the lower lashes, apply MAKE UP FOR EVER’s dominant eyeshadow in the shade ‘Fawn’.
3. Accentuate the eye socket with a dark bronzer – ADAH LAZORGAN shade No. 10.
4. To enhance the metallic look, gently apply Glitter White Gold Dust by IL MAKIAGE.
5. Apply a very thin eyeliner line close to the lash line and in the inner part of the upper water line.
6. On the lower water line, apply a cream-colored eye pencil, giving the eye a more open appearance look.
7. Accentuate the upper and lower lashes with black mascara.
* Pro tip – for a clean and professional look, use a Band-Aid to clean any glitter residue.
8. If necessary, complete the look with another thin layer of foundation.
9. Apply a highlighting concealer under your eyes.
10. Apply bronzer all over your face to create a warm and tan look that goes with your eyeshadow color.
11. Apply transparent lip gloss on your lips {Michal combined two shades: Natural and Champagne by IL MAKIAGE}.

For the second look, Yael and I chose to go with two tight fishtail braids – to go along with the edgy, rock n ‘roll look of the makeup.
LIP MAKEUP
1. Apply a thin layer of foundation with a damp sponge.
2. Frame your lips using a black eye pencil {Michal used GRAPHIC RITUAL 06 by KIKO MILANO}, or black lipliner.
3. With a wide lip brush, apply a dark purple lipstick {Michal mixed 2 shades of dark, deep purple – ROUGE PUR COUTURE number 18 + 63 by YSL}.
4. Apply lipstick on the middle of the lip using a thin lipstick brush and finish with a glossy eggplant purple shade {Michal used under my spell number 800 by RIMMEL LONDON}
5. The secret weapon for creating accurate dark lips is applying concealer around the lips using an angular brush.
6. To finish the look, accentuate the eyeshadow with a dry eyeshadow set {Michal used the Step-By-Step Contour Kit by Smashbox}.
