There is a special something about Paris. It successfully combines an effortless vibe with uncompromising quality, its rich history has developed into vibrant modernity, and it glorifies the small pleasures that life has to offer.
Fauchon L'Hôtel Paris, which belongs to the veteran French gastronomy brand ‘Fauchon' has exactly the same charm. It’s no wonder the brand has kept its reputation of precision and prestige not only in France but all over the world.

Fauchon’s first shop was opened by Auguste Fauchon at Place de la Madeleine in 1886. The small business began as a stand selling fresh produce, and later expanded to a wine cellar, a fine bakery, a tea room, and a restaurant. Fauchon eventually became renowned in the field of gourmet food, and additional luxurious branches were opened all over the world.
When I found out that Fauchon, a paradise for foodies, is known for its use of the color pink, I immediately knew this would be the perfect place to call “home” during our stay in the city of lights.
The brand’s first luxury hotel, Fauchon L'Hôtel Paris, opened in 2018 at Place de la Madeleine, near the original location of the historical Fauchon French deli. This unique hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World group and as such it meets the highest standards in the world of hospitality – spectacular design, luxurious rooms, fine culinary, a luxury spa, and the utmost professional service.

When I first entered the hotel, I immediately vibed with my inner Blair Waldorf {If you don’t know who I’m talking about, it’s about time you watched Gossip Girl}, and I’m pretty sure the pictures in this post are self-explanatory.
First of all, let's talk about the hotel’s style. The cohesive design goes from the lobby to the spa, the rooms, and the restaurant is a combination of typical French architecture and contemporary high-end design, easily recognized as the visual style unique to Fauchon.
The brand is also known for its color palette – fuschia pink, black and white with a touch of gold – that flows through the hotel. As you probably already noticed, I adore the many shades of pink and have a deep appreciation for the little things, so I couldn't help myself from developing a small obsession with the hotel’s design, from the very moment I encountered it on their website.

The attention to detail is felt in all of the hotel’s spaces, not only in terms of design. The black marble tables in the lobby, for example, are constantly displaying perfect macarons and bottled beverages, or the delicate scent which fills the air, developed especially for the hotel. Whether relaxing in the lobby, having breakfast, taking a shower, or getting into bed after a long day, every corner in the hotel feels as if much thought was put into your experience during the entire duration of your stay. And yes, it is as perfect as it sounds.

The hotel, which spans two buildings, has 54 luxury rooms {of which 17 are suites}, a spa operating under the prestigious French cosmetics brand ‘CARITA' with a well-equipped gym, and the in-house restaurant – Grand Café Fauchon.
We stayed in the extra special two-story Duplex Suite. In the lower level was the bedroom with a small sitting area, a marble bathroom and a terrace with a remarkable view of Paris {including the Eiffel Tower ?}.

The upper level had a small working area and music corner complete with speakers and a limited edition Gibson guitar and a selection of records.

Oh, and I almost forgot – the minibar. Or should I say, gourmet bar.
If you thought Fauchon would do with a standard mini bar, here’s where you’re wrong.
The gourmet bar in every one of the hotel rooms is without a doubt the star of the show, and it is in no way ‘mini’. See the big pink metallic art-deco closet in the corner of the room? Once its doors open, it becomes a foodie’s treasure box – the shelves are packed with the brand’s best selling products, selected by the hotel’s food and beverages manager. So what exactly is there? Brioche toast, foie gras, olive tapenade, madeleine cookies, salted butter caramel candies, butter cookies, and chocolate truffles, and a variety of teas in different flavors, also belonging to the brand, rests on the coffee table right beside this treasure.
The best part? The cupboard is replenished on a daily basis, with no additional cost, in every one of the hotel rooms. Did I already mention this was a foodies’ paradise?

The culinary pleasures don’t end here. The Grand Café Fauchon which offers breakfast to the hotel guests, serves as a chic, modern bistro, whose menu is largely based on seasonal ingredients.
The restaurant serves three types of breakfast; French Breakfast, Healthy Breakfast, and Fauchon Breakfast. We enjoyed the latter, and most indulgent. It includes Fauchon champagne, a hot drink, and freshly squeezed juice, amazing pastries and bread with butter, jam, and chocolate spread, yogurt or cereal dish, eggs with two sides, cheese platter, fresh fruit, and dessert. In three words – the perfect breakfast.

If you’re not in the mood to slip out of your robe, breakfast can be ordered to your room 🙂

Our stay at Fauchon L'Hôtel Paris was above and beyond my wildest pinkest dreams, and I am already fantasizing about the next time.
